The Travel Buddy 3-wheel mobility scooter is a light weight and compact personal mobility aid (PMA), designed for easy transport in a car boot. Overall weight is 24.6 kg, and it can be further disassembled into 4 pieces with the heaviest weighing only 9.9 kg.
It has an automatic electromagnetic braking system that doesn't rely on the finger strength of the driver to pull on bicycle-like brakes, and is very safe for stopping on slopes. It can also go forward and reverse, which is useful when backing out from lifts. For additional safety, it is also equipped with a sensor that automatically slows the scooter down when you make a turn
This is a good option for those whose physical disability is mild, and wish to load their PMA into a car without the need for caregiver help.
